I believe that all the games from Season 5 are now well underway, and the results are trickling in, so it's time to sign up for Season 6. Season 6 will run the same was as Season 5 - though a bit faster as I won't be distracted by summer anymore.  I'm also going to ask the winner of each division this season to pick a map which ought to help speed up that process. So, winners, start thinking about your favourite maps!
Copied from Season 5:
Format: Same as season 5, with 8 player leagues with everyone playing each other once. If we have odd numbers, I'll keep at least 7 players per league so that you'd only have one bye at the most.
7 rounds, with each round being a match consisting of 3 games on the same map: a no variant, variant 1, and a variant 2 game.
Each new round will start at approximately 7-10 day intervals.
Players who are staying on will be ranked based on this seasons results. New players will probably start at the bottom unless they have a really good Hacienda tournament record. Players who played in season 1, 2, 3 and/or 4 but not 5 will be ranked based on previous results.
Anticipated time frame: From mid October until about early February (maybe slightly later if games get delayed due to Christmas holidays).
All are welcome, as long as you make your moves at least daily. Shortish periods of away time are not a problem. |
