My 4 are already finished, usually taking between 8 and 15 days, sometimes a little more with holidays and the like... I'm ready for round 5, hehe. Of course, we have the Easter hols coming up, so perhaps we will not see a new map before then, although we're due in the next 48 hours...

I'll go with the league directors discretion anytime, of course.

I'm still waiting for my round 4 opponent to notice the games as well... it definately seems things are taking alot longer this time around... some league-fatigue perhaps?

I think someone needs to look into these people who have not joined games yet as if someone still not started round 3 then it could be months longer than scheduled til the games are finished

Most of the organisers of comps have stated that getting the games started is the worst part of the role. It does appear that this part of tournaments is getting more problematic, but not sure why.

I would suggest that if somebody has not started one of your games, you could send a PM to them as they may have missed the updated draw. This works better than posting a note here as if they missed the draw, they will probably miss the chaser. An alternative is to put a message in one of their started games (a tactic I used recently in Santiago).

The fact that a few games have started late shouldnt be a problem as they can be caught up alongside the remaining fixtures.

I would say the fatigue is coming from the slowness of the rounds, as my round 2 and 3 games ended before my round 1 game. At that point if you are playing 3 rounds at the same time, the excitement of trying to win a round goes away. Plus you don't get to see how others in your brackets are doing until the very end, so the anticipation of a match up is gone also. Playing one round at a time at a faster pace is needed IMO to keep a "tournament" feel, otherwise it's just a ranking system.

I'm not entirely sure why the not-joining-games problem seems to be getting worse. I've been doing my best to PM people if they still haven't joined/started a game a few days after I post the draw - but there's still one game from Round 1 that hasn't even been created yet; not sure what I'll have to do about that one in the final standings (give both players a loss?). Most of the games do seem to be playing out at a reasonable rate, but there have been a couple that dragged.

I'll be posting the Round 5 draw tonight. I also know of one individual who will be gone in May so will be PMing her Round 6/7 draw to her so that those games can get finished before she leaves. If anyone else is in a similar position, please PM me ASAP to let me know.
