Hey Mercuito... I hope that you still wanting to play tournaments means that the dodgy way you finsihed our 3p small game (ie buying extra land and placing it as fast as you could when you realised you werent going to win) was a mistake?

I'm happy to see you keep playing if it was... but it did happen over a few rounds and you were sent in game messages by your opponents informing you that you were breaking the rules! Crying or Very sad

actually for a variety of reasons I am reluctant to allow Mercutio to play, and will seek reassurance before agreeing to let him play.

I'm in Smile

I think a league for 3 player games would be a bit tricky... Though if formatted correctly, perhaps the kingmaking bit could be made irrelevant (or at least drastically reduced)... maybe if coming in 2nd as opposed to 3rd was rewarded? (you could do 5 pts for 1st 3 for 2nd 1 for 3rd, or 3 - 1 - 0)

There could also be a rule that doing so is not allowed, and you get dropped down a division for next time if you do.

Rebelslayer - I heard both sides of the story rgding this issue, players who flaunt the rules repeatedly will suffer sooner or later, in their current or future games, especially in a league format.

Furthermore, heavier penalties can be imposed on offenders.

Sounds fine by me! I don't bear grudges, just wanted to be sure that if there were funny rules in a tournament again you would abide by them.

Your welcome to join any of my open games, and I look forward to meeting you in one of the tournament games!

The main issue was game play speed, as in previous tournaments you had had several long gaps between turns and your games were finishing 2-3 weeks after everyone elses.

As long as you are usually able to make your moves at least daily, and aren't going to be having any known long absences (of say more than 2 days) then you are welcome.

The other issue was your play in the small land tournament when you continued to buy land even though I'd posted requesting you not to. Obviously there was a known point penalty for doing it, but also it was potentially affecting the game of the other two players. It didn't affect results so it doesn't matter now.

Basically if you are able play faster than before I'm happy for you to play and will put you on the draw once you've replied to this. Just let me know either way.

I'll create this tournament tomorrow sometime, preferably once Mercutio has replied.
