No need to have played in Season 1, all are welcome.

Regular internet access for the majority of the period August - October is important. holidays are ok, however you may end up having multiple games running at once before / after your break, as long as you are happy with this so am I.

The precise format of the leagues will depend on the number of entrants. I'll aim for slightly smaller Leagues, 8 ideally.

Within a league, each player will play everyone in one match, consisting of 3 games on the same map, a V0, V1 and V2 game.

I'll start the next round about 9 days after the previous round.

I'll consider all suggestions regarding maps. however if there are no suggestions I'll continue to use my favourite maps, which means I'll try to avoid really large, really small maps, maps with too few markets, or maps that routinely end up in a long drawn out land buyout.

With regards to how previous season players are ranked, I will use a variant suggested in the previous forum thread. Players in league A score 4 points for a win, League B 3, League C 2, and League D 1. Everyone will have a base score of 10, plus their win points. I'll then rank everyone and divide the leagues based on this ranking.

New players will be assigned a place based on their multiplayer tournament record, or any other evidence I can find. obviously it will be slightly arbitrary.

I imagine it will be at least 2 weeks before I close the entries.

One thing I forgot in the original post is that for all those who agree, I'd prefer to use email to contact individuals this season. I'll still post draw, results, ladders etc in forums, but email is quicker and easier than the private messaging system here.

Obviously this only works if you check your email very regularly.

regarding the new ranking system - it may or may not work out ok but it doesnt really fit in with the 'league' theme. i mean i though the whole point was to battle for a season in your division and then get promoted or relegated whereas now youre effectivley just running a series of tournaments with little continuity.

i dont know - it might be better this way but im not convinced
