it started as a joke. I noticed how many tournaments were coming up with funky little rule adjustments. So I pretended there was a tournament with REALLY funky rules, just as a joke.
But now a few of us are going to start a game (not a full tournament, just a single game) where we each get to make up one strange rule before the game starts that we all have to follow during the game. |

My weird rule: from Round 2 onwards the Pharaoh gets an automatic invisible bid blockade. It's an incentive for high offerings.
We'll have to be extra careful obeying this rule. The Pharaoh gets 3 extra points if someone brakes the bid blockade, and the person who broke the rule looses 3 points. |

My wierd rule is the pyramids are 2x normal, so Dahmanhur is worth 4 pyramids and edfu and amarna are worth 2pyramids |

Hmm, too much time on some peoples hands!
Though I must admit that too little time on my hands meant I didn't see the post until the game was filled ... otherwise I would happily join the idiocy! |

No veto on my side (you actually meant to say temples instead of pyramids). This rule combined with Gauditus's one will make Damanhur and Amarna the provinces to fight for! |

Clarification: the Pharaoh can use a real bid-blockade power card and create a double bid blockade. |

Whenever you outbid someone in the same province (using the card), you'll get 3 extra points. |

cpsof95 ans Rebelslayer seem to be interested as well. Perhaps an opportunity for the creation of a second weird game.
I actually liked cpsof95's idea: it attempts to fix the weakness in the "outbid" power card. One could argue that 3 points is too generous, but the idea is sound. |

Often the territory you get on the Outbid wouldn't necessarily be useful, or it could cost a great deal to make the play. I don't think it's that unbalanced. |

My problem was the 3 points. That is huge. It is basically drawing a free 3 points randomly from the deck. If that got tweaked, maybe. |

RULES SO FAR
♀ = free bid blockade (rounds 2-6)
Pharaoh gets an automatic bid blockade from round 2 on. Pharaoh steals 3 points from anyone breaking this rule. Use of a bid blockade card allows a double bid blockade
۩ = ۩ x 2 (both scoring rounds)
Temples worth double
A = +1 (final scoring round)
1 extra point for every letter A (or a) in a province (at the end of round 6 only).
4Δ = +3 (both scoring rounds)
exactly 4 pyramids and 0 stones in a province at the end of either kingdom is worth 3 bonus points per qualifying province. |
