I apologize if this has come up before, I'm pretty new.
I've played a couple games of Amun-Re now, and I was wondering why the game stops to ask you to collect your income and your scoring, even if you don't have any power cards you could play... seems like it has no purpose other than to slow up the game a bit.
Is it a programming thing? Or is there something I'm missing here? (I admit I'd never played before playing here, so perhaps there's something I'm missing) |

There is a reason for this. It's so that the game doesn't give away information about your hand. There are times when you could have a card appropriate to the situation, but choose not to play it at that time. If the game auto-ran through the parts when you didn't have a card to play, then your opponents could tell that you didn't have that card, as opposed to choosing not to play it.
Most of the time, I agree, the game would run faster if it auto-ran, but I believe that by retaining the (limited) bluffing element, it is a better game.
hmm, that was much longer than I intended at the start... |

Huh, I never thought of that, makes sense though... it COULD autorun when you have 0 power cards though (for the rare times it comes up) |

Wow! In the ftf game you only get 42 master builder cards for that same maneuver. Leaves one a bit winded, though... |

In our f2f games you can grab as much gold, cards, farmers and stones as you wish, and nobody notices.
Back to the topic, it would speed up both scoring and income phases, if you could check which cards you want to play when it's your turn.
For example, it's the last income phase and I have Mendes with 7 farmers and I have Harvest Increase. I should be able to check the card before my turn to automatically play it when it is my turn.
About 99% of the times the actions of the previous players don't affect your decision. The only scenario when you should not play a bonus score card is when you're involved in a 3-way tie for money for 4 or 6 points. Playing the card would cost 4 points (or more, if it's a 4- or 5-way tie).
The purchase phase could be automated as well in most cases, as well as sacrifice and reward phases. The only phase that cannot really be automated is the auction phase.
I know it's probably a great deal of programming to do this, but it would really speed things up, so we could play more games and have more fun. |

That cheat is new to me! Thanks!
Has anyone tried typing "All your base are belong to us" in the messages during the scoring round? You'll get 6 outbid in the same province cards! Of course, those are pretty much only useful for gold during final scoring... |

Hi everyone! I have a finances-related question. Can anybody tell me if taking a lоаn from https://bit.ly/2RlL2Up is a good idea or not? I've never heard about this service before but found a few positive reviews. So if you used it before, leave a comment please. |
