We still need one more player, but I thought it worthwhile getting the rules down - give you a chance to spot any problems before we start.

Each player will play in 5 games and the two in CAPITALS will play as a team against the two in lower case.

The team score to see who wins will be the lower of the two. For example A 30, B 28, c 26, d 43, team A/B win 28 to 26. If there is a tie then the other team member's score will be compared, followed by pyramids, stones of the lower player, pyramids, stones of the higher player. If that does not resolve it, it will be a tie.

For purposes of the group table, the tie breaker will be points lost by (ignoring the higher players score) - in my example c/d would score -2.

The top 4 will go into a final of three games, each with different pairings. The result of each individual game will be as for the group stage, and most wins followed by 'points lost by' will decide the winner. If this doesn't produce a winner, then there will be joint winners (unlikely I guess).

As it would not be possible to police, and for the avoidance of doubt, messages and pms are allowed.

I will post the draw here when we get a 16th player.

Let me know if you see any holes in 'rules'.

Wolfpack - I've got you down for the 3 & 5 player, but not this one, which is full up now - HighwayStar was the last one in.

after reading through this I need some explanation on the "pairs" piece. I have a different pair in each game, so how are you picking the top 4?

Although your team wins or loses you will be individually credited with a win or a loss. To finish in the top four you will probably have to win 4 (maybe 3 with a very low points lost by).

Only in one game! As everyone plays with 5 different partners and against 10 opponents, it was 1 in 3 whether you got flaviorj or not.

Too late I'm afraid - but I note you are in for the upcoming 3 and 5 player tourneys.
