As the 3 and 4 player tournaments are well underway, it is time to ask for sign ups for a 5 player challenge.

But, you say, Tikal and Reef only go up to 4 players. Well here is my plan:

Based on 20 entrants, there will be four 5 player games of those that support 5. Scores will be 20,12,6,2,0 for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th. There will be five 4 player games of Tikal and Reef. Scores for these will be 18,10,4,0 for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th.

The top 5 will go into the final. Then the top player will get the choice as to play both Reef and Tikal or sit one out and claim 3rd place (getting 6 points). Then the second player chooses to play or sit out. If by the fourth/fifth player all players are in, then they must sit out taking 3rd place (and the 6 points). The fourth player gets the choice if both are left. The scores for the 4 player games will then be 20,12,(6 taken),2,0.

As you can see we need 20 entrants. I think this will take some time, and as I will be away 9-16 April I will be happy to wait until after then to start. Hence you can sign up and practice the games you are not sure about.
