That was my experience too - they rejected my files. |

When BGG is back, I'll talk to the admins and find out what the issue is. I didn't have any .haz file disapproved when I uploaded them (aside from accidental uploads of doubles.) If the files are useful to other users then there is no reason to disapprove them.
Also I think we still could add images of the maps to our user galleries and then add items to the geeklist (whether we have the files to download or not.)
If you all would prefer to do the discussion here, that's cool too, although I'm likely to copy & paste it over to the geeklist as well. |

That is weird. The only other thing I might suggest (without reporting a BUG to Aldie) is zipping several .haz files together and then trying to upload them.
I not sure how, but perhaps a protection software on your side might have been preventing the upload? Have you had sucess uploading any other files to the geek? |

I got rejected by a human, who said my files weren't readable or of general interest. |

We (or I) will have to have a discuss with them. I can't see how a custom map for a game isn't of general interest. Maybe there was confusion about the .haz file type.
I think it makes a lot more sense to distribute .haz files than .pdf of the maps. The haz files are modifiable and from them it is easy to make a pdf, but it ridiculously small compared to the pdf. |

Ok the geek is back up. (Stupid storms).
Looking at the wiki page on file submissions, I'm going to ask that you try to upload some maps again, please. I'd be appreciative. I don't know what was submitted before, but here are suggestions from that page:
*Give a BRIEF Description (I'd include that it is for use with the hacienda map maker program here.)
*Multiple Files in a Set : If you are uploading multiple files to a game, please combine them into one ZIP file
*Note to Admin : You may put a note to the admin in the admin message field
If you'd rather not submit the files yourself, send me a private note, I'll send you my gmail account and then you could email me the files, I will upload the files and then send the geekgold received to you. |

Excellent, I think a little more info could help it through. I've given it a thumbs up and added tags, but if the title was changed to add a number or name that might help.
Here is your file submission:

Here is an example of one that was approved:

Also was the map below the one you submitted?
If so, we could add that image as a comment or you could add it to the description with the following code:

I added file for map 187 and posted the image in the comment, however I don't know how you get the image to show so big. |

I have taken screenshots of a lot of maps and for some I've even created a pdf from the haz file, then extracted the pngs from the pdf and then stitched the images into one SUPER large image.
Aside from that geeklist, more images and files, etc of Custom Hacienda maps can be found here:
