[Kanga]

Note I found a calculation error which changed the standings slightly, so if you were one of the first 5 or 6 people to see this post you might notice a change or two.

I pulled together all the games in the tournaments so far, excluding finals, and put together the following table.

It shows:

Total games, wins, and % won (obvious)

the next 3 columns are
plus: you get 1 point for every player you beat in a tournament game
minus: you get 1 point for every losing game
percentage: this is your plus score / (plus + minus)

So, in a 3 player game, the winner scores 2 points in the plus column, and the two losers score 1 point in their minus column. This means that the table will average out to 50%.

koinski has also won 2 of his 3 finals, losing the 3rd on points countback after winning 2 out of 4 games in that final.

Rebelslayer comes in second, having won 11 of 12 3 player games, and both of his 3 player tournament finals. This astonishing 3 player record has him in 2nd despite more mortal perforances in his only 4 player tournament (missed the final), and being a losing finalist in his only 5 player tournament.

almondralf lost all four of his first tournament games. Since then he has dominated and on current form will be number one shortly. He has also won 4 of the 6 tournaments he's competed in, being a losing finalist in a 5th.

I sneak in 4th. I did poorly in my only 5 player tournament which dragged my average down. I have won 3 out of 5 tournaments I've played in and been losing finalist in another.

brianlcarr is a very consistent performer, winning games in each tournament. Interestingly he comes in 5th here, despite only making the finals in 3 out of 5 tournaments. Brian is yet to win a tournament.

Djura in 6th is, like Brian, yet to win a tournament. She has however made the finals in all but one of her 5 tournaments.

The other two players to win tournaments are ddv0102, who sits in 8th, and IBX who ranks 20th overall.

great job. Doesn't seem like I've won 61% though. It would be interesting to see wins by County as Australia seems to do well all the time. However, we would need to know where "Koinski the wanderer" is from.

Thanks for the list Kanga. Its great you have put this together, but I'm sorry to say you've got my % wrong.
I recon that I have played 27 tournament games - up to and including 4 player T5 - (that is what you have in the list). However, I've won 6 of them (22%), not 45%.

Sorry for the confusion about the %, I haven't presented that well.

That's not the games won %, that is the percentage ranking based on the "plus" and "minus" points listed above. Basically it takes into account whether you won a 3, 4 or 5 player games.

Here's the same table with games won %.

The ranking is nearly identical with games won % compared to the points % used above.

First table is win % in tournament games

Second table takes into account whether you won a 3, 4, or 5 player game.

The figure is calculated as above. Effectively, it shows your winning % if you'd played all your games as 2 player games against everyone else in each game.

The player affected most by different ranking system is almondralf, who has played more 5 player tournaments, so has a lower win % but moves up when this is taken into account.

Nearly 700 games have now been played. Here are the current top ranked players based on win %. This does not include finals games.

I've also included the points ranking I use, where you get one plus point for every player you defeat when you win, and one minus point when you lose a game. So if you win a 5 player game you get 4 plus points. The points % is your plus points / total points, and is an estimate of how you have gone if you had played every match as a 2 player game.

klingone is a recent arrival in the top ranks, with some outstanding preliminary round performances, but no finals victories as of yet.
