I love amun re as it is now, but it would be awesome to be able to reverse purchases before finishing that stage. I guess hidden money would be interesting, but it would just make everyone count more. This would give an advantage to those of us who can do math Smile

. The only real downside is if your like me and have 40 different games going, might be tedious to keep track between games.

Leck: greaaat!!! I am dreaming about this as well! Amun is game that almost reach the stage of perfection.

Concerning secret money, please count me in not-agree camp. All was descibed before, it will be worthy for good players (and neccessary as well) to keep exact amount of gold of each player to be sucessful.

I've only played a handful of games, but I lost one due to a misclick in Round 6, and got completely trashed in another due to a misclick in Round 3. I understand it's my bad, and I'm not complaining, honestly. But ohhhh, what joy to be able to say "2 power cards, and 3 far... no wait, 1 power card, and ..." Or failing that, just have something staring me in the face that screams "power cards, not farmers, dummy!"

Oops, sorry, that wasn't what I meant at all, of course you can't back up after SEEING your cards.

At the risk of threadjacking, though, I have a question. I was taught (I don't own a copy of this one, my neighbors) that you could buy cards one at a time. That is, you could look at the first card before deciding to buy a second. (Obviously the cost progression is unaffected.) Is that IN the rules, or some version of it, or were we just being generous?

Generous. You make the purchase decision, purchase the cards, THEN you look at 'em.

I've also played that way before, but it's a house rule. You should buy them all at once.
