Broadly speaking, there are two main types made from a material called TPE and silicone.

Interesting! I didn't realize there were really only two main material types used in those products. I've mostly seen talk about TPE vs. silicone, but never really the broader picture. It makes me wonder, are there any niche manufacturers experimenting with other materials? Perhaps someone out there is trying to come up with the next big thing in material science for this industry, maybe even something as innovative as, dare I say, a Sprunki material composition! I'd love to see more research on the performance differences in lifespan and cleaning.
