Hi all.
I've created a bunch of gunboat games which I kindly request that no communication be made by any players between each other in the game.
I believe some people use this site as there is no computer version or AI for some of the games available on this site. They wish to play a game just like they do versus a computer where everyone is playing to maximise their position regardless of the actions of others, and want no communication regarding their turns, nor others conspiring against them.
These games are for those players. All are welcome to join these games, however I ask that you follow the spirit of these games and not have any communication with each other on this game.
Thanks for your time. |

Is this really an issue in games like Reef Encounter? In 19 relevant completed games, I've only had someone contact me once during a game- and it was just a friendly "Good luck" on the last round.
I see where you're probably just generalizing across the site, and it may be an issue in other games. I just thought it was a little odd for that one :) |

I thought in the spirit of this request we shouldn't even respond to this thread!

So how do we ask you to check your other games for ones that people are waiting for you take your turn without breaching your gunboat rules?
If you read this, please check your games, the Santiago one has been waiting about three weeks, the Reef Encounter ones seem more active.
Thanks |

Sorry I have had some family issues that caused me to come back to Sydney and neglect gaming.
Just ask Ben, its been a while since I've played any ASL with him.
I'll sort them out now. |

Fair enuff, I was just curious. No wonder Ben's been coming back to the Euro fold (insert smiley of choice here because I am not worthy to do so) |

Was this a result of gunboat diplomacy? |
