How are these calculated? I'm playing in a game with julib. His profile shows average turn time of 5 hours, longest 8 hours - not too bad. in reality, he's not moved at all in 3 of his 6 current games, and took 37 days for his first move in Wally 18585.

Doesn't help the games in question, but maybe people rely on these stats when selecting opponents..... |

this NEW user has all the classic signs of a player who may never

complete a game

on the bright side --- you have only ONE game with this player

another player in your game has FOUR

as to your question -- I think the fact that the player has not taken

any turns in three games means those games have no average |

But in the 18585 game a turn was completed which took 37 days, which doesn't seem to be getting picked up properly. Or does the nature of action planning in Wally exclude it from these stats?

I'm not so much whining about julib here (I did that in a previous post ) as tring to understand whether looking at player speed stats yield any useful info. |

				| My best guess is that a players first move on SBW is not included in the time stats. Certainly every other move is, even when you are on vacation. I can remember my average time blew out from 2.5 hours to 4 hours per turn after I'd been away for a week. Of course the average only changed *after* I'd made the moves. |

I think action planning is only part of a turn -- not a complete turn

I also think player stats can provide useful information

but --- other than join the 6 games this player has done almost nothing

>>> making any stats useless

the best place to get information for a player like this is to click

on the current games list in their profile

also -- you only need stats for players who are playing -- this player is not

one last note -- in minds of some players -- a player like this gives

newbies a bad name ---- NEWBIES are a good thing

at one time we were all newbies |
