Isn't is something the oldies cover themselves up with in mild weather, to keep themselves warm? |

All is well - kaa0s is online and all the games are up.
The Scoreboard is posted in the Official Folder here:
World Cup 2008 Singles Semifinals - Scoreboard
I'll put occassional bumps here when that gets updated. |

|
|
The Semi-Finals have passed the half-way mark as Group A completed 8 of 16 games (Group B has completed 11 and Group C has completed 14).
Team Brazil has waxed the competition to clinch Group C - grats to the Boys from Brazil and good luck in the Finals!
The Norwegians and Aussies are too close to call in Group B, and with 5 games left to play any of the teams could still take first place.
Teams New England and Great Lakes are neck and neck for the elusive Wild Card spot but they will need to get enough goals in their final two games to edge the second-place spot from Group B at the very least.
Group A is behind the curve due to the late start for Team Finland, but the Carolinians have jumped out to a huge lead there. |

|
|
Group C is finished, with only Brazil advancing to the finals, since both of the top 2 teams in Group B have more goals than either New England or Great Lakes.
Both Australia and Norway have excellent chances to advance with 2 games left to complete.
In Group A, the Carolinians maintain a strong lead with 6 games to finish. |

Higher total pyramids, and higher average points, and still missed the wildcard. Those Brazilians are canny opponents! |

The fate of 4 teams rests on the outcome of AmunRe WC-08 Singles SF-A-03 - all but Franconia can claim the Group Title, and the hopes for Norway making the cut as the Wild Card team hang on Carolina winning and Finland scoring 0 goals in last place, which seems unlikely.
Stop by the game and root them on! Or tease them for being slow! Or post curses in a language none of them speak! |

Excuse me Sir, but this game has finished. Now what?
As for the doubles, apparently we have a highly Competitive Player Slowing Our Finals. |

Funny you should ask.
I'm trying to determine if Team Finland is capable of continuing in the tourney.
I hope to have an official announcement soon. |

I'd think that unless you want to wait another few months there's only one option available....
poor cps is undoubtedly sick of tournament organisers harrassing him, but he's the one who kept signing up for stuff even after he'd lost the motivation to play the games. |

I see 2 options: a) disqualify team Finland; b) disqualify the second player from team Finland and find another substitute (maybe leck would be interested in "helping" team Finland ). |

From a game that I finished recently with cps, after it was pointed out that, at his playing speed, a game would take over half a year.

cpsof95: Well, I'm not on a 6.5 month game pace all the time. Sometimes players are fast and sometimes they're slow. We have fast and slow players in all games. I don't see why I should always be playing at top pace. (Wed Nov 05, 2008 9:25 pm) |

That is the main problem with cps... it isn't that he is slow, it is that he is completely unrepentant. |
