Freduk: That's actually from the official Coat of Arms for Gloucestershire. I looked for a Blue Boar pennant (in re Richard III) but couldn't find anything suitable.

Scores have been updated thru 8/11.

Next year I'll set this up better, with a 16-game rotation that will ensure that every player plays each member of all teams in their division once. That will create better totals for Wins/Losses and Goals Scored.

Note: Teams in BOLD have completed all 6 games; dark blue highlight = clinched Division

Two games remain to be finished, both delayed by August vacations, but the other 3 Divisions have been settled.

Due to the small number of games, both of the outstanding games need to finish to determine the 12 teams that are advancing.

There is one open game left in the Singles Tourney, but the outcome is already clear, and so the 12 teams that will Advance are known.

These 12 teams will be divided into 3 groups of 4, and each group will play a total of 16 games that ensures that each player will have at least one game against each possible opposing player.

Scoring is the same as before: 3 goals for a Win, 1 goal each for 2nd and 3rd, and Nil for last place.

Teams will be ranked by total goals scored - not necessarily games won.

Each Group Leader will Advance to the Final, along with a Wild Card (the team with the highest score in goals from the remaining 9).

As before, the team-ranking tie-breakers remain total points, then pyramids.

The game rotations will be published tonight or tomorrow, but in the meantime Congrats to the 12 Semi-Finalists and better luck next season to the other fine competitors in this massive tournament - thanks to all of you for making this happen!

Semi-Final Groupings

Albion

Group B: "The Shire"

Deep apologies, but due to a dumb mistake on my part, a game was not recorded properly, so in fac t Norway is in Group B instead of Gloucestershire.

If you have created one of the originally posted Group B games, please delete it if you can.

Yeah I've setup several group B games as set C already. I didn't even think of it. Just robotic copy and paste. Rolling Eyes If it's ok with people I'll just leave it like that instead of setting up new games.

I hope it's ok for the others in the group.

Unfortunately there's another problem with the existing draw. Several players are meeting the same opponent twice and not meeting other opponents at all. For instance, I'm playing against baub64 twice and not playing against Liloliani.

I've made a "Sudoku" with the possibilities and came up with the following general structure for each group:

a1 - b1 - c1 - d1
a1 - b2 - c2 - d2
a1 - b3 - c3 - d3
a1 - b4 - c4 - d4

a2 - b1 - c3 - d4
a2 - b2 - c1 - d3
a2 - b3 - c4 - d2
a2 - b4 - c2 - d1

a3 - b1 - c4 - d3
a3 - b2 - c3 - d1
a3 - b3 - c2 - d4
a3 - b4 - c1 - d2

a4 - b1 - c2 - d3
a4 - b2 - c4 - d1
a4 - b3 - c1 - d4
a4 - b4 - c3 - d2

Apart from a possible typo, every player meets every other player once, except their own team mates. In the table above, players in the same team are assigned the same letter.

Well, in my desire to correct my mistake quickly, I ended up making other mistakes. Damn.

Legalu: Yes, that's the exact right pattern, but somehow when I made the team switch I broke my spreadsheet and messed it all up.

At this point, since everyone has 4 games and no two games are identical, we will carry on, but I'll get it fixed for the Final.

And don't worry about the game names - the "Sing-2" identifies the group properly.

Yeesh! You guys should really fire that crappy Tournament director! Gaditus doesn't screw up like this!

Actually, the correct pattern should be this:

a b c d
1 1 1 1
1 2 3 4
1 3 4 2
1 4 2 3
2 1 4 3
2 2 2 2
2 3 1 4
2 4 3 1
3 1 2 4
3 2 4 1
3 3 3 3
3 4 1 2
4 1 3 2
4 2 1 3
4 3 2 1
4 4 4 4

Somehow the C and D columns got sorted wrong.
