|

OK, the results are almost ready from the 5-player team (2 vs 3) lowest-score-wins Amun-re tournament qualifying rounds! We are still waiting on game WTF?OMG_4 to finish because gaditus and flaviorj could still upset nomorecheese, pkwolf54, and pompkin.
Remember, everyone, any ties for lowest scoring team are broken by checking to see which team submitted the most even-numbered offerings in the odd-numbered rounds. I haven't yet determined if the tie-breaker goes to the team with more or less of those, but I should have an answer by the time it happens to someone.
And kanga, yes, though I sympathize with your amazing performance in rounds 1 through 5, the tournament rule still stands for game WTF?OMG_17:
"any player assigned the color green must bid on Damanhur whenever it comes up for auction." And highwaystar, please stop gloating that since you are red you aren't even allowed to bid on Damanhur. That isn't helping.
Also, I am impressed with how quickly everyone determined that Memphis sucks pretty much always.
On a related note, site administrators have asked me to remind everyone that this is a family site and that swearing and threats are out of line.
Good luck in octofinals and watch here for more details!
This post was not meant to be a slight in any way. Just having fun. My hat is off to anyone taking the time, energy, and creativity necessary to coordinate and run these tournaments. |

Don't encourage me!
Deciding what you can bid on based on your colour, 2v3, when do we start? |

Well, though mine may be an exaggeration, it would be funny to get five people together, each gets to make up one oddball rule before the game starts and everyone asks clarification questions. If all 4 other players veto a rule as vague or too luck-filled, the fifth player has to come up with a different rule (to keep outright silly rules out)
I KNOW Gaditus will play and I would too.... 3 more takers?
In this game it would probably be a good idea to write yourself a note that says "THIS IS THE WEIRD GAME" and have it show on screen so you don't mistake it for one of your other games. Or maybe have all the rules in the notes. |

It sounded like Dobinator also wanted to join the fun. Otherwise, I'd join the weird game.
Talking of dysfunctional Amun-Re, the "25 or bust" series has been quite fun to play. Lots of gold spent to avoid the temples. |

I can't be sure Dobinator's was an affirmative answer! Here are our players:
Legalu
Gaditus
pkwolf54
payton3434

My weird rule:
4Δ = +3
exactly 4 pyramids and 0 stones in a province at the end of either kingdom is worth 3 bonus points per qualifying province.
Please post your rule. It doesn't have to be a scoring rule. |

My rule is
A = +1
1 extra point for every letter A (or a) in a province (at the end of round 6 only). |

Do all the rules get combined in to 1 game or do we have 5 different games? |

Good lord, so much more creative than mine, I love it! No veto here. And all of these rules will be combined into one game. I want a complete cluster****
